Oregon Transportation Investment Act (OTIA) Bridges

Repairing cracked and structurally deficient bridges was the major component of the Oregon Transportation Investment Act (OTIA). Early in the implementation of the program, Cornforth Consultants was retained to perform geotechnical reviews for nearly 200 previously identified cracked bridges. This allowed ODOT to identify where geotechnical data was missing or inadequate, and to properly prepare for required subsurface investigations throughout the state.

Following the early phase, Cornforth Consultants carried out subsurface exploration and laboratory test programs at 24 bridges throughout Oregon, including bridges on:
